A Wyoming Firm Since 1949
Buchhammer & Ward, P.C. is the successor to the law firm of Guy, Williams, White & Argeris, established in 1949. From its founding, the firm has engaged in civil and trial practice in all state and federal courts, with its primary emphasis on insurance defense. That heritage of generations of Wyoming trial work is the foundation every client engagement stands on.
The firm is AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the directory’s highest peer-review rating for legal ability and ethical standards. Our attorneys annually update the Wyoming Insurance Law Digest contained in Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys, keeping our insurance and self-insured clients current on Wyoming tort and insurance law.
We provide legal services for clients throughout the entire state of Wyoming. Our practice involves litigation and appeals in all state and federal courts in Wyoming and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. One firm for every venue in the state.
From our office at 1821 Logan Ave in Cheyenne, we serve local families and businesses alongside national and multinational clients, national claim offices, national counsel, and corporate counsel. We tailor our practice to each client’s individual needs and requirements.
We are a full-service insurance defense firm, fully computerized for cost-efficient service. Our attorneys draw on WESTLAW, a comprehensive in-house law library, a complete brief bank, and the resources of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and several other defense organizations, so every file benefits from work the firm has already proven.
Trial practice is not a specialty here; it is the firm’s origin. We prepare every matter as if it will be tried, because that preparation is what produces favorable resolutions in negotiation, at mediation, or before a Wyoming jury.
Clients receive direct answers about the law, the exposure, and the cost. We report the way your office requires, staff files proportionately, and measure ourselves by results delivered at a proportionate cost.
